AboutKen Landon Buck is an accomplished multimedia artist and art educator. His media include watercolor, pastel, colored pencil, oil pastel, egg tempera, acrylic, gouache, and mixed media. His subject matter ranges from floral to still life and the human body engaged in athletics and ceremony. His works investigate not only color, light, and shadow; they are also meditations with the subjects, thus connecting feelings of particular moments to the viewer across time and space.
Buck's work has been exhibited in museums, juried shows, and galleries around the nation. Additionally, his work has been purchased for the collection of several institutions and many private art enthusiasts. As an educator Buck has introduced hundreds of experienced and new artists to various techniques of 2d art making. His instruction is individualized to each student and their needs. Moreover, Ken has created a community of caring and passionate artists that revolve around his energetic guidance. |
